Do not prosecute these noble soldiers for doing their jobs.

  • Richard Milian December 23rd, 2009 6:29 pm

I am in the military and I do believe those individual deserve a fair trail. Afterall, those individuals are keeping us safe back homes and also giving us the freedom we deserve in America.

  • Dwight Richards December 24th, 2009 12:07 am

Someone needs stand up and do their sworn duty to protect this country form this domestic threat. There is not going to be much of a country left if this kind of rediculous behaviour continues. The veterans of this country need to band together before it is to late. Once socialism gets hold there will be no turning back.

  • Mike Kane December 24th, 2009 10:56 am

They should be given medals for the job that they did ! What the Hell is this world coming to those men should be treated with respect not treated like the scum they are protecting the world from .

  • Barbara DeNike December 24th, 2009 12:45 pm

This is beyond belief! What has our nation come to? These men were sent in to defend our freedoms – they freely put their lives on the line and we are now ‘free’ to prosecute them? I am ashamed to call us American right now.

  • Joel December 26th, 2009 4:05 pm

This is a real croc, they did there job in defense of this great country, so they became a little over zealous, prisoners of war have more rights then there capteurs,, BS BS let then GO

Let me get this sraight. There are some people that are upset because the Seals “alleged stomach punch of an Iraqi detainee” ?????
If they’re (the whiners) expecting every enemy combatant to be treated like a cop, then why didn’t they send in the NYDP or LAPD.
Do you want to fight crime or do you want to win a war?

That’s the trouble when you’re using soliders as cops. Doesn’t work.

Let me get this sraight. There are some people that are upset because the Seals “alleged stomach punch of an Iraqi detainee” ?????
If they’re (the whiners) expecting every enemy combatant to be treated like a common criminal, then why didn’t they send in the NYDP or LAPD.

That’s the trouble when you’re using soliders as cops. Doesn’t work.

  • David H Rogers December 27th, 2009 9:33 am

I’d like to know what idiot indicted them! He/she’s the one that needs to be slapped…over and over!!

  • Frank December 28th, 2009 6:22 am

This makes me sick. How are our men supposed to do their jobs when they have to worry about their superiors not looking out for their best interests?! I served in the Navy as well… sounds like more BS politics. God be with these SEALS.

  • John C. Conley December 29th, 2009 9:39 pm

This discussed me. How can we send our boys to a foreign country to defend us and then prosecute them for doing what we sent them to do? Think about it, how many of our soldiers have these barbarians cut the heads off of? If this is allowed to be done than why did I serve my country for eight years in the U.S.A.F. I’m ashamed of any one who would call their self an American and could believe that this is not an outright betrayal of a U.S. Serviceman!

  • Patricia Baer December 30th, 2009 1:26 am

It appears that our soldiers have to fight two enemies, the terrorists and this administration.

  • Jerrall Deitrick December 30th, 2009 7:56 am

Let them men do there jobs! This country is becoming a bunch of wosses.

  • Sandra Anderson January 1st, 2010 12:21 pm

You’ve got to be kidding me! There doing their jobs, what they were trained to do. Deal with the prisoner and leave our guys alone!!!!

  • roger grant January 2nd, 2010 11:01 am

ALL IS FAIR IN WAR. THATS WHY ITS CALLED WAR. IF WE ARE NOT THERE TO KICK BUTTS. THEN WE NEED TO GO HOME. AND LET THE LAWYERS AND THE ADMINISTRATION BABY SIT THE TERRORISTS!!!!!! WE NEED TO KICK THIS ADMINISTRATIONS BUTTS OUT OF OFFICE!!!!

  • Ed Noland January 5th, 2010 12:29 am

Seems like pay back from obama for the somaile pirates. Obama could not take the shot. Brave shoulders had to. Now he wants to retaliate against these men.

  • Alice Dawson January 6th, 2010 6:15 pm

To me those 3 Seals are Heroes, what in the world is in the minds of these “politicians” that pow killed our good men in an atrocious way and he should have been punched in the boohoo stomach or worse….How are you suppose to subdue a person like him????

  • Viesta Morrison January 7th, 2010 1:00 am

Why call a man to war to serve his country, when in doing so, turn about face and procecute him for taking the directive that was asked to him by his country?

  • Hughlan Roy January 7th, 2010 10:46 am

I think we neeed to withdraw our military and send in the politicians and obama. I bet this whole war could be won in two weeks. Leave our men alone,go after the terrorist. Can’t you tell the enemy from our own!

  • Jerry Glisson January 8th, 2010 9:12 pm

Please do not punish these men for protecting our Country! They are doing their jobs, that you the American Government hired them to do!

  • Sandra Bennett January 10th, 2010 10:04 am

The soldiers are doing their job keeping the us free.
And anyone who does not like it. Then you should have to
go and take their place. Where would we all be including you
    if it weren’t for them?

  • Clayton Mantz January 10th, 2010 6:22 pm

These are the Navy Seals, the best of the best. They follow their core values until death, from their vow to protect this country to not leaving a man behind. These are the men that are sent to retrieve high profile targets and bring them back in custody and alive. Personally, I think the detainee should be glad it was a punch, and not a gunshot. They did their job, he’s alive, and that is what matters.

  • Jan Higginbotham January 12th, 2010 9:12 pm

Seriously, we (the United States of America) are in the process of pressing charges against 3 of our very own Navy Seals. Do they (the lawyers) by any chance know what you have to be able to sustain to become a Navy Seal? These are the elite fews…what is the problem? They are doing their job. No only that but they did not blow them up for nothing like I am sure these would have if left alone long enough. I must be dreaming….only in America!
The Veterans of this country deserve the respect of all Americans.
The problem is the brought them in alive!

  • James McCabe January 22nd, 2010 10:12 pm

If the tables were turned and those young SEAL’s would have been captured. They would have been beheaded! This terrorist gets a little roughed up and we are gonna prosecute our own? I believe that the rules of war/engagement have to be followed. But there are circumstances that do not or should not fall under the rule of the law! This was a known Terrorist. These men are warriors. Not police officers. You asked them to do a job and they did it. Have the guts and back bone to support these young men for a job well done. Cause God forbid if one or all of them would have died during that mission. There families would have gotten some B.S. Hollywood fluff story as to what happened. Some nice letters and medals. and a folded flag on the day they were buried! Bravo Zulu shipmates. May God be on your side. And may the tables be turned on the powers that decided to prosecute these hero’s !

  • Seosamh Mac Lochlainn January 27th, 2010 5:43 am

Those brave young soldiers are trained and put on the front line to protect our country. Let them do their job. When dealing with the hardline people such as this it is not always possible to use a softly softly approach.
If circumstances were reversed we would probably see a head chopped off.

  • Dennis Baker February 19th, 2010 6:06 am

It is inconceivable to me how we could send a few of our finest troops out to do a job that nobody else wants to do or is capable of doing and then bitch about how they do it. They should be highly regarded, not prosecuted.

  • Dona Tungate February 24th, 2010 4:26 am

Are they out of their ever-lovin’ minds??? Only fools would prosecute them!!! WHAT is this country coming to?

  • Denice York March 1st, 2010 7:17 pm

Please do not punish these soldiers, this is just wrong. Maybe if you would not tie your soldiers hands so much they could do what they were sent to do and return home safely.

  • PJ Blake March 5th, 2010 10:38 am

Seriously?!?!? The low life they were sent to capture got a busted lip, and they’re being prosocuted?

We need to tell the JAG, or who ever makes these descions that thye should seriously reconsider bringing charges against these three men.

What does that say to the other SO, SF and other highly trained men & women sent to do our bidding against these animals;.. “Be careful, if the bad guy gets a splinter, you’re ass is in a sling!!”

  • neryl March 7th, 2010 7:55 am

Our soldiers are in a war zone.Leave them alone.Do you want to try to do their job?

  • Gregory Romeu March 9th, 2010 2:41 pm

Tell you what? WE, (Veterans) will trade you YOUR FREEDOM for the Three Navy Seals… How’s THAT for an offer you can’t refuse?

Lest you chance the uprising of well over 15 MILLION prior service Veterans back into SERVICE AND DUTY TO THEIR NATION and Bretheren in Harms Way? Re-think your BS prosecution. No threat, just DUTY to GOD & COUNTRY(MEN)

The political correctness of society is causing Veterans to re-think the value(s) of the freedoms provided to those that a

Those provided their freedom are quickly losing focus on how they acheived it. Perhaps a stark in-your-face-REMINDER?

  • Edward Steedle March 10th, 2010 3:48 pm

What has America come to when she turns against her own for the sake of some piece of scum terrorist? I know America is the land of “equality” but should America love it’s protectors and enemies equally? Should America rush to the aid of one who would see it crumble to dust in an instant? I am disgusted. Wholly and completely. I do not love war, and I do not love taking lives, but if I were one of those SEALs, I would’ve shot him in the head the moment I found him, to hell with the consequences.

  • Pegasus_48 March 11th, 2010 6:00 am

We should be allowed to handle ourselves in this war, the way, and with the freedom, that those in the Viet Nam war did! After all, we are put where we are today for the same, selfish reasons, our people are put into this war, to pad somebody’s wallet in the gov’t.
Let them go and fight this war, themselves, and bring our people home.
But let them fight it the way they see fit without repurcussions!!! We don’t know what we would do in their circumstance,….who are we to judge. Where they are is not America, nor American ways.

  • EO1 Steven Altman March 20th, 2010 7:09 am

When every soldier raises their right hand and agrees to support and defend his or her country. Then why are they put in the hot seat when they believe without a doubt that’s what they were doing. They also have many other rules of engagement and restrictions that make it difficult for the soldier to do their job with the odds already against them. Now when a situation comes to a head they end up under fire facing charges. Many of the soldiers in the same boat don’t make it home to be put under such harsh reticule by the same people that sent them over there. We cannot have double standards to protect political relations while our soldiers take the wrap after being put under orders to do so.

  • Christy March 29th, 2010 6:35 pm

I think that our service men, who are at war, should not be punished for fighting the enemy. They are away from their families and doing what they can to stay sane. We should not punish them by being brave enough to put their lives on the line for our country, whatever they feel is necessary is in my opinion necessary!
